A burnt valve is one of the valves in one of the cylinders actually having a piece burnt off. A compression test wil easily tell if it is burnt ornot as the compression will be very low or none at all. Your engine will not fire or burn anyfuel like this and the ONLY way to fix it is to have the burnt valve replaced. And all others reground at least on the same head. Your power will beway down as it will be missing on the one cylinder. Fuel mileage and everything else will go right down immediately. The pic i'm sending will sow the valve in head and part of it will be burnt off. If you have It fixed you can see the old one when it's out if you ask. Right where I have the little arrow will be where it is normally burnt.
