Sometimes when accelerating the car jerks

Sometimes when I’m driving, the more pressure I put on the gas my car jerks instead of smoothly accelerating. Also, my dashboard lights come on and go off when they want, and my key gets stuck in the ignition at times. One day it wouldn’t start, or turnover at all. Can you please explain what is wrong?

Good evening,

This sounds like you have a bad connection. I would start by cleaning the battery cables rel well. That would explain the lights and the key.
