Car has no acceleration until I floor it

The car has no power until I floor it then it jumps fast like normal. Also wet black smoke coming out exhaust.

When was the last time you performed a tune-up on the vehicle? Is the check engine light on signaling a fault code store in the vehicles computer? Here is a tutorial showing issues with black smoke:
