CAR DIED WHILE DRIVING, TURNS OVER BUT WON'T START
2001 Volkswagen Jetta
May, 5, 2013 AT 9:19 AM
Died while driving, will not start. Pulling codes P0725, P1780, P1850.
Replaced spark plug wires, ignition coil. Checked for faulty connections and can't find any. This vehicle does not have relay 109.
Turns over fine but no start. Checked timing belt and it's on and turns fine.
Gas 2.0 engine.
I don't have any meters to check anything. Problem seems electrical.

Engine Wont Start

The codes are transmission related and do not seem to be the cause of non starting. They are related to CAN-BUS communication problems and you might have a problem with the engine control unit.
What you need to do is to check the basics to see what is missing and proceed from there.
