Camshaft sensor?

So, my check engine light is on. My cruise control only works if i'm going 25mph or less and when it turns off I can't get it back on until I turn the car off. My car bucks back and forth once I hit 3000rpm. If I go uphill the car will not accelerate, I will have it floored and it won't shift or go any faster. We have changed out the motor mounts, Should I replace the camshaft sensor. Any ideas?

I would try to replace the camshaft sensor. What are the exact code numbers you have? Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

I would start with the code P0016 which is crank or cam sensor out of sync. Does that code come right back if you clear it?

Yes it comes right back, We have replaced both of those sensors. There is also a popping noise when I go from park to reverse.

I posted the code for code P0016 your going to have to follow the trouble tree for it let me know what you find.

Hello, I am in a real jam. Camshaft position sensor needed replacing. I cannot get the thing out. The plastic broke off and now there is just a nub to grab onto. It is in a really bad spot to get a good grip on it too. I am at a loss. This is my wife's Facebook account just to be clear. We used it to sign in. I can usually fix almost anything myself but I cannot get this thing to free up at all!

Hello,

Use a small drill and drill into it, then thread a screw into the hole this should break it loose and get the sensor end out.
