I just saw your videos today. Thanks for allowing us to ask questions. I was changing the rear brakes my first time on the vehicle listed above. I removed the bottom bolt of the caliper. The top bolt slid out and did not need a wrench. Is this normal? When I replaced the caliper, I slid in the top bolt but did not need to tighten anything down, and it has a small amount of in and out play around the boot surrounding the bolt. I hope I did it correctly.
Thanks again.

Did you have to twist the bolt at all to remove it?

At first I tried taking the bolt off while trying to it began to slide off so I was able to remove it without actually using any wrench. I have included a photo. I cleaned the bolt and used silicone paste and reinserted the bolt but did not attempt to tighten it since it did not appear I needed to.

Also, the caliper came off with the bolt still attached. The bolt did not come off the caliper.

Okay good, on most cars the caliper bolts do not thread into the caliper bracket and they just slide in they do however thread into the caliper. The caliper needs to actually slide back and forth during braking and that is why they are engineered like that.
