Water has been leaking into my floor board on the passenger and the drivers sides of my sts. My question is what can I do to correct this problem?

Is this water after it rains, and do you see it dripping? Or have you just noticed the floor is wet? It could be several possibilities, sunroof(if equipped) drain tubes, body seams, windshield, weatherstrips, A/C evaporator drain plugged. Is there water in the spare tire well of the trunk? First is identifying where the water is coming from.

Yes it does accure during the rain. It drips into the door and somehow flows down to my floor boards. Its not alot of water but its enough to wet your fingers when you touch the carpet. Do you have any suggestions on how to correct it?

It come from between the door trim panel, are the door drains plugged or the barriers damaged or missing. 2000 sts has rigid plastic barriers sealed and held on with push-pin retainers. If you know the water is coming from the/a door, remove the trim panel and water test with a hose to simulate rain. Be cautious not to use high pressure, or a direct spray, or you may see a leak that would not normally leak with rain.
