Cluster panel on 96 Cadillac STS says low range

Battery was dead yesterday, put it on charger. It started fine today, but when I push the info button on the cluster panes it says. Low range?

Before looking at the bcm, try removing a battery cable and putting it back on to see if re booting the bcm helps.
