Battery saver warning appeared, car shut down non essential items then went totally dead. We had new alternator installed, battery was nearly new. Now battery saver warning still coming on when car idles. Voltage indicator says 11.7-11.8 volts which is in the good range. Any suggestions?

THESE ARE COMMONLY ISSUES WITH A GROUNDING OF THE SYSTEM. IT IS A FEATURE TO SAVE CERTAIN MEMORY AND DUMP NON-IMPORTANT MESSAGES. YET AT START UP YOU WILL SEE A REPORT COME ACROSS THE DASH INFORMING YOU. OTHER OCCURANCES LIKE THESE HAVE BEEN LINKED TO STARTERS NOT DISENGAGING, FUESES, SHORTING IN/ON LINE, AND EVEN THE SEATS. YES THE SEATS, WITH THE HEATED FEATURE. ALSO THE BATTERY CAN LOOSE THE CAPACITY TO CHARGE IF THE OUT PUT OF THE ALTENATOR IS LOW. BAD CONNECTIONS, AND CORROSION OF THE TERMINALS.
