information bar reads :traction disabled:==can you say what this would mean and what possible failure is occuring?

It would be hard to say what is occurring. In a nutshell, there is a fault with the ABS/Traction Control system. If you press OFF and WARMER on your climate panel(passenger warmer if it has no warmer button) and hold it until codes start to display, record and post the ABS codes.
