Cadillac stalls and won't cut on

I was stopped at a red light and my car stalled and then cut off and now it won't turn over. I know I needed an oil change, could it have been low on oil? Could my transmission have gone bad? My car literally won't start and I have a new battery

Won't start meaning it won't turnover? Check oil first do you hear any clicking then try restting security system.
