2005 Cadillac Escalade Ceramic or Metallic

I'm wanting to replace the front pads: the OEM have been squeeking too long.
Do we need ceramic or metallic pads? I've heard good things about the ceramic pads, but are there downsides?

I personally find ceramic to stop better, less dust, but if you dont use them for a long time, say over winter they dont stop properly for me untill I get them running again.

In my shop all I use is ceramic. I dont like brake noises or comebacks.
