I have replaced the thermostat, water pump, flushed the radiator and replaced with the required Antifreeze. But it is still overheating, would the cooling fans not running cause the engine to overheat? If not what is causing the motor to overheat?

Hi there,

Yes, if the cooling fans are in-op the engine will over heat in traffic. Also get the radiator flow tested, just flushing wont prove it is fully serviceable.

Sorry to say if you did all that and still no leaks your headgaskets are bad, headbolt threads pull out of the block causing this problem, its fixable if you have the money
