Cadillac Deville overheating

1995, 139000miles.

i had a hose splice break going from top of engine to heater core.
replaced the splice. And before the break it never overheated. What can cause this and what may be the fix.


ps u guys are amazing the info u guys gave me on the last problem I had helped sooooo much.
