I PURCHASED A 2003 CADILLAC DEVILLE 57000 MILES THE PROBLEM WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES THERE IS A THUMPING BUMPING JERKING MOTION THAT TAKES PLACE. WHAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM?
I ALSO PURCHASED A BUMPER TO BUMPER EXTENED WARRENTY. THANK YOU FOR THE ANSWER

Sounds like excessive lateral runout of your brake rotors. You need to have the runout measured, and at least the front rotors replaced or resurfaced. Maximum allowed runout is.002". The front are most likely causing the concern, the rear can also have some warpage.
