Transmission problem
2000 Cadillac Deville V8 Automatic 131, 00 miles

My "service engine soon" light came on and indicated a transmission code for slippage caused by a pressure leak in the TCC System. The recommendation was for the replacement of the torque converter and related parts at an estimated cost of $2000. If I decide to wait on the repair, is the vehicle still safe to drive. If so, for how long? Will further driving do major damage to the transmission? Should I keep the vehicle under a certain speed or number of miles driven at one time?

I don't believe there is any long term threat with this. It is just the TCC hydraulic system that is affected. I believe the system disables in response to a fault. About all I can see you suffering is a loss of fuel economy.
