Hi my name is ryan. My baby isnt doing so good. The car keeps over heating its leaking out right by the water pump.I think its the headgasket but would I have to pull the whole engine out in order to fix it?The rear end needs new upper bushing. I am some wat of a mechanic I went to school for it but got kicked out. But how do I fix it and how much would it cost for me to do it versus taking into the shop.

It could be the head gasket leaking externally, or it could be the water pump housing(crossover). It will add more complication doing it inside the vehicle, as opposed to removing the engine. If it is a head gasket leaking, more than likely it is because of bolt thread failure in the block. The preferred method of repair when head gaskets are required, is installing thread inserts to all 20 head bolt holes. The thread insert is not a heli-coil, it is called a timesert, and requires special tools and procedures to make the repair successful.
