Engine Cooling problem
1998 Cadillac Deville 116000 miles

I have a 98 cadillac deville with a Northstar engine that heats up really quickly like around 2 minutes. There is a very small antifreeze leak coming from around or above the water pump but cant see where. Replaced the pump already and the car still leaks, but only at temps above 200. Also the thermostat housing get extremely hot but yet the lower rad hose wich is connected to the housing is not as hot but only warm and the upper rad hose feels as though its gonna burst. Replaced 2 thermostats from autozone already and still cant fix this problem. Also when car reaches about 220 leaks go from one drop at a time to about 3 or 4. No white smoke, no water/coolant in the oil or spark plug gaps.

Have the cooling system tested for combustion gases. The external leak could be from the head gasket, or coolant pump housing(crossover). It sounds like a stuck closed thermostat, but it sounds like you've tried that more than once, and chances of multiple faulty t-stats are not common.
