My car started acting up today. I would get to 30 mph and the engine would start to roar, but I wasn't getting any faster. I coasted to my step mothers house and found that my car had been leaking oil badly. Then I found out that all my fluids were low. So after a quick oil change and replacing of transmission fluid and oil filter I drove it to about a block away and it was doing the same thing. I believe it is the transmisson. Is there anything I can do for it or did I burn up the transmission? (Please don't tell me I burned up the engine)

Before I would get too carried away, I would suspect possibly a plugged exhaust. You could either remove an O2 sensor, or disconnect the exhaust pipe pe-cat, and roadtest it then. It is going to be loud, but you should be able to tell if power is restored. If so, replace the catalytic converter.

Sadly that wasn't the case. I was changing out a leaking gasket in my transmission today and found the fluids that leaked out to be very dark and worse they smelled burnt. I believe my transmission has burnt up and I will have to buy another one. Sigh which is money I don't have. Thank you for your advise though. I appreciate it.
