1989 Cadillac Deville Failed Emissions

Hi - My 1989 Caddy Deville failed its emissions test recently and I'm trying to understand what the cause is. The reading that failed is the CO reading.

Limit is reads 20.0000. My vehicle read at 29.6932.

Any info/help would be greatly appreciated!

What size motor, 4.5? And do you have a ck engine light on? Have the codes scaned, off and warmer on the heater controls at the same time, with key in the on position
