I was trying to change the right headlight on my car but cannot get the bulb holder back on. The manual says just turn until it clicks which does not work. Is there a trick to it I am missing?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

I have to be honest, this vehicle is not sold in the US, but from experience with many other vehicles, I will try to help.

First, here is a link that shows in general how to replace one:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-a-headlight-bulb

If that does not help, check the following. On many vehicles, the headlight bulb will have a rubber washer attached to it. When the old one is removed, the gasket can sometimes stick on the light assembly. As a result, you can try for hours to reinstall the new bulb, but it will not properly fit because there are now two rubber washers. So, check for that.

Next, many bulbs have a three point mounting pin design. Two of the pins will be the same size and the third one will be larger. Make sure if that is the case, you are correctly aligning the pins to the proper location. Otherwise, it will not fully seat or lock into place.

I hope something here helps. If you can upload a picture of what you are working with, I may be better able to help you.

Let me know,

Joe
