I had a new lock cylinder put in at a local shop (they took my key to a GM dealer to have the tumbler custom-fitted). Now when I pull the key out of the ignition, the doors don't unlock anymore. Also, I can't remove the key from the ACC position. How can this be fixed?

Go back to the original installer and have them repair it on their dime.

If you cannot get any satisfation from them, go to locksmith, have it repaired, and present bill to original installer.

To be honest, I prefer a locksmith to begin with, they can generally repair original lock.

Mmprince4000;

No offense, but I was looking for technical help. For instance, I found that the tumblers were installed correctly by the GM parts guy, but the lock cylinder was indexed wrong so the key wouldn't come out. Re-indexing it solved that problem.

The automatic lock feature (supposedly) can be reprogrammed from info provided in the owner's manual (which I don't have), but that's just conjecture at this point. I could use confirmation if this is the correct info, or if not, do you have any solutions, cause these other guys are stuck.
Thanks, Bob
