Engine Mechanical problem
2002 Buick Rendezvous 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I just had my fuel pump replaced for the second time. The first one simply quit, and I had to be towed in. Now with the new one, my gas guage works at times, but other times it goes from very very full to very very empty. I never had gas guage issues before. Should the mechanic fix this on his dime?

Welcome, this is just my opinion. Have a courteous conversation with your mechanic and see what he thinks? If you don't like what he has to say, take your vehicle someplace else. I can't answer about legal obligations, don't know? If you go in the hole too much, money wise, trying to help a customer, It's hard to stay in business. Have a good day
