The power window lock out switch was broken and windows do not work at all. I replaced the window switch assembly with a new part from GM. When I tried to actuate the windows, nothing happens as before. Occasionally I hear a low buzz from the switch panel when I push the auto button for the driver door window to open. I've checked the power window relay and swapped it with another and still no movement. I checked the associated fuse and it ohms out good. Is there possibly a fusable link somewhere or maybe I just got a bad switch from the dealer, but probably not the case.

When checking applicable fuses and circuit breakers, did you check for voltage? You can't see voltage, you have to use a voltage tester. You can use a testlite, if your sure the system uses battery voltage, a digital multimeter might be safer to use, doesn't put a load on the system. Maybe your way ahead of me, but, I have to ask about voltage.
