When driving the car just dies and will not start. Let it set a day or two and it may start and run for another 5 or six miles and dies again. So far the fuel pump, fuel filter, ignition key, coil pack, crank sensor and throttle sensor have all been replaced and it still does it. The computer shows no codes. GM could not retrieve any codes from it. Any body have any idea of what might be wrong. So far four mechanics have worked on it and gave up. The car has been in service shops for the past 6 weeks. It has cost me hundreds of dollars and still have the same problem.

Help please!

I feel your pain, I had the same pain too. It wound up being a shorted fuel injector, they fail when heated. Hope this helps. I am a BMW car guy and when I was confronted with this one it sat for almost a year and I put a fuel pump, a crank sensor, and an ignition module too, none of which did s***! I got mad at it and said "Its you or me you pile of s***" And when I dis connected one of the injectors, it ran great on five cylinders, I replaced the bad injector with one from a BMW fuel rail I had laying around and the damn thing has run great ever since. I hope this gives some direction to your diagnostics. Good luck my friend!

I had the same problem with my 02 Regal, and it was the FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR. It's a simple fix at the dealer for about 100 bucks.
