1999 Buick Regal shutting off while driving

1999 Buick Regal - 48,000 miles shuts off while I am driving. It happens at any time. Sometimes I can turn ignition and it will start again, somtimes it takes a while continuously trying before it will start. Engine light does not light up. Mechanic put on computer tester, nothing showed up (no errors). He checked fuel pump pressure, which was fine. Fuel filter was fine. I believe he aslo checked spark plugs. There is power, music and lights stay on, but engine shuts off. Big problem and has been dangerous on freeway trying to pull over before car stops in traffic. I really appreciate whatever help you can offer.

Intermitant problems like that are hard to find sometimes. I woud suggest to replace the Cranksensor for starters. They have a tendency to break down when they get hot and cause the car to die, and alot of times they will not set any codes for one reason or another.
