1998 Buick Regal Turn Signal Shuts Car off whether I'm driv

I have a 1998 Buick Regal GS. It is the 3.8L Supercharged model. I am having terrible electrical problems that seem to come and go as they please. When I turn the left or right turn signal on sometimes the car will completely shut off, all lights will go out like it shorted out or something and immediately 2-3 seconds later the car will pop all the lights back on like the key was just put in the car. Sometimes it happens when I'm driving and I have to quick put it in neutral and restart the car when the lights pop back on. Hoping someone can help me with this problem because it seems it may be impossible to detect cause it is only there once in awhile. It happens everytime I'm in the car but sometimes it won't do it or will go away. It's very confusing for me.
