Replaced with new water pump. Back together and the heater will not put out heat.

Hello

If this doesn't fix it then please let me know the 8th digit on your VIN. I show 3 differnet 6 cylinders for your car. 3.8L VIN 1 and 3.8L VIN K and 3.1. I need to know which one. I am looking at the 3.8 VIN 1. From what I can tell, it seems like you still have air in the system. Is the car heating up - more than it should?

It looks like on top of this thermostat housing is a bleeder valve. When the car is running you open this to bleed off any air until it runs clean and steady.

Are the heater hoses going in and out of the fire wall hot at all?

Is the car reaching operating temperature at all?

We are going to do what you suggested in the AM. Thanks for the info and we hope it works. If not may have to come back with another question. Thanks. The Lannings

Hello

Once you have done the checks just please make sure after you try bleeding it the way I suggested you double check the fluid level. A good 50/50 mix. All the air must be out.

Then again, check the heater hoses going into the fire wall, both, they both should be hot.

Then if that doesn't work then I will need the answers to the question.

Please let me know the 8th digit on your VIN. I show 3 different 6 cylinders for your car. 3.8L VIN 1 and 3.8L VIN K and 3.1. I need to know which one.

How did both heater hoses going in and out of the fire feel.

Is the car reaching operating temperature at all?
