I have had no problem with this car for 10 years. About 8 mths ago, both automatic windows on driver's side stuck. The motor was changed in the front door only. Both seem to be working, but sluggish. The person working on it was a novice. Shortly, thereafter while driving down the interstate, the a/c and cruise shut off at the same time. After a few mins. I was able to get it started. For 6 mths, this has been a continuous prob, but they tell me it will fix itself. For awhile, jiggling the fuse board turned it back on or stopping the car, turning it off and cranking it back up, fixed the a/c. Then, I learned to turn the a/c off before cranking and then it came on. Lately, it has been a morning thing only, and once it's turned off, no a/c for the whole day.
I noticed a couple of weeks ago, the dashboard dimmer began going on and off. It just did this during the night and the a/c was gone with it. Lately, the dashboard dimmer begans first thing clicking on and off for 2 blocks or so right after cranking under a garage. Of course, when this happens, the a/c is gone for the day. They changed an ignition something switch but it's worse. Any idea before they tear the car up?

Hi:
It may be something as simple as a ground problem. Make sure cables on battery and grounds are clean and tight. Also, look around for ground straps that are loose, damaged, or broken. Finally, have them check BCM's for proper operation.

My guess is that it's a ground problem. The hard part is trying to find it.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
