Gas mileage and disk breaks

1998 park avenue 100000 miles.
I had my back shocks replaced, rotors turned and breaks adjusted. I noticed that my gas mileage went from a average of 30 miles a gallon to 25.8. Highway from 28 city driven to 25. The car doesn’t seem to drift as freely.
Could this be because of the adjustments to the brakes?
Will it fix itself with wear?
Do I need to adjust them and how
Thanks for being there

HELLO! Mounted on the master cylinder FORWARD of the resevoir is a two wire switch. Disconnect it and leave it OFF. There is a safety recall on it. Now check operation of your cluster and get back to me with results.

I had the recall completed on the switch and the cluster is still not reading correctly. Amp: high, Oil Pres: low, Temp: low? Thanks.

No work done prior to this other than routine maintenance. The ammeter has always read high since I've had the truck (2001). The oil meter has been steadily reading lower over a period of several months (2-3). The temp. Indicator started its malfunction about the same time as the oil press. Indicator. Although it hasn't done it in quite a while now, I used to replace fuse #15 in the fuse block under the driver's side dash with regularity.

Speedometer, as far as I can tell, works correctly. The cruise control has never worked on this truck and neither does the anti-lock brakes. The winshield wipers are erratic and have to be bumped several times with the switch to get them to working. Once started, they are fine.
The truck has an excellent air conditioner and heater and they both work well.
Gauges: Same indications on either cold start up or at highway speed. I didn't mean to take up all your valuable time.
