When using air or heater, the compressor clutch clicks"off and on". Clicking noise will not go
away until heater or A/C is turned "off".
Good cold air from A/C and good heat from
heater. Added a can of refrigant in just to make
sure it was not low. But no change in clicking of
compressor. All controls are manual. Must turn
"off or on".
Do I have a bad switch somewhere?
Thanks.

Compressor should only be on in Defrost mode if on in heat mode then AC control unit maybe faulty. Find cycling switch on accumulator, big round silver canister. Unplug this will stop clutch engagement. Ckec to see if voltage is present when system is in heat mode. If so the control head faulty.
