1991 Other Buick Models gas dripping out of exhaust

Just got car. Dont have any history. Runs great dont smoke just a gem in all aspects. Spuratically can go to start and runs rough, blue smoke out exhaust and dripping raw gas. Can shut it off and good chance 1 hour later will run great again. Looking for a good starting spot I know nothing about history or where to start. Not a straigh 6 so im lost

When you notice the gas, how badly is it running? Does it sound like you have a few dead cylenders? Is the smoke actually oil burning or does it run extreamly rich? If it's rich, I would first check the fuel pressure regulator. If it's oil, take a look at the intake gasket. Also, take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. See if anything has been stored in the computer.
