2001 Buick Lesabre ABS and traction control

My wife drives this car to work and in the morning the abs and traction control lights come on after about 20 sec. Then in the afternoon it does the same thing. Could it be a short or something wrong with either of the 2 systems. Please let me now. Thanks, John

The two systems work together. If one has a problem, both lights usually come on. Chances are there is a wheel sensor for the ABS that is bad or has been damaged. The easiest thing to do is have the computer scanned to identify where the proble is coming from. Most nationally recognized parts stores will do it for free.
