My car recently over heated. Now it wont start is their a reset button I need to reset so it will start? It turns over it just doesn't catch

Sounds to me that when you engine overheated it may have warped or cracked the heads causing in sufficent compression.

Perform a compression test on each cylinder the lowest one should be no more then 25% less then the highest.
