1997 Buick Lesabre engine stops like out of gas

1997 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

driving down road after awhile car dies like out of gas. Starts back up after sitting for 1 minute. Drive maybe 1 mile it dies again. Let sit for minute starts back up does the same thing again. Starts up again and goes another 30 miles home no problem. Next morning drive 80 miles to work everything is great. Then on way home it all started again

You will need to find out if you are losing fuel pressure or losing spark. Do you know if it is setting a check engine light?

Same with mine< was told by dealer egr valve, fuel pump and also top manifold plennum (sp?) Leak to the tune of $1800. Did egr for $475, same prob again after 3 days. Fuel pressure is low so next is the pump, tryin to find reasonable cost.
