Brakes problem
1997 Buick Lesabre Front Wheel Drive Automatic 110000 miles

We just had our buick serviced and was told that the bushing that hold the car together was broken. After the repair the first ride on the expressway we discovered the car shakes when you apply the brakes. Before the car went into the shop we had the car on the expressway with no problems. Today I took the car to the same shop and they said the problem with the brakes had nothing to do with their repair and that we needed new pads. The car doesn;t shake when applying the brakes in normal traffic. Is this correct or did the shop do something?

I don't know what bushing was replaced but it sound's like your rotor's are warped. If there not that warped it would take higher speed's to make it shake while braking. If they over tighten the wheel sometimes the rotor's can get warped. But I can't say for sure they did anything wrong. If your brake's are worn out that would make sense that your rotor's could be warped.
