1988 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

yess the car situp for about a year, the fuel pump will come on but it doesn`t let much fuel come out was wondering could tthe strainer be keeping the fuel from going to the injectors. Cause the car will not stay running when u do get it cranked!

Unless the inside of your fuel tank is completely trashed and rusted out, the strainer is not going to be your problem. It's most likely just a bad fuel pump but you need to test this using a fuel pressure gauge. You may have to cycle the key on a few times because it only powers for 2 seconds on every key cycle.
