I just bought a 1991 buick century. It ran for a test drive well. I bought the car went to pick it up and it would not start. Cranked til the battery went dead. Jumped it got it started was driving it home and it died twice but started again. As I pulled in the drive it died again and would not start up. It almost seemed like it was out of gas. About 4 hours later we put some gas in it and it started right up we drove around the block and when we got home it died and would not atart again. It has 116000 miles and is a six cylander. My x said he thinks it might be the ignition coil but of coarse he doesnt have tools to fix it. I have two sons that are willing but not much experience. I just bought the car and dont have much money to put it in the shop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try this disconnect a plug wire and ground it to the engine while cranking over-do you have spark?

Well my boys worked on it all day. Its not the ignition coils its not the ignition module. Its not the fuel pump or fuel filter. We got a crank sensor but havnt tried it yet. If that doesnt work everyone I know is out of ideas. After it warms up it dies will start back up a couple times and then it wont start for a couple hours again and doesnt run long. 1991 buick century 6cyl.
