CHances are the switch is bad. What you need to check is if there is power going to the motor when you use the switch to go forward and backward.

While checking the seat a second time hours later and running the seat all the way to the rear, tried it one more time for forward and with accidental angled pressure on the switch, it worked, it took three more tries to move seat all the way forward, will remove, and inspect and replace the switch if necessary if its more than a loose connection.
