Engine Performance problem
1995 Buick Century Front Wheel Drive Automatic 78000 miles

Car "auto-Accelerates" while cold. After car runs for 5-10 minutes on the road if you shut of motor and restart car operates fine. Car wants to run at higher fuel flow/RPM than warranted by gas pedal position

Is the cruise control activated when the problem occurs? How long since a tune-up? Any trouble codes?

Most vehicles will have a higher idle, cold, than they will warm. Does you scanner show live engine data? Look at idle and required idle, they should be close to the same. Is the vehicle in closed loop, when it happens? When you get into, no code, diagnostics, the list of possibilities is as long as your arm. I can list the possibilities if you want, I can't point directly at the problem.
