1991 Buick Century Temp light

My temp light comes on and my car shuts off. All summer wouldn't run in temps above 80 deg. Now its doing the same thing and its not hot outside.

Make sure you r radiator is full first. Then disconnect your electric fans and when it gets hot put your hand on several areas of the radiator, if it doesn't feel the same all the way accross or you feel cold spots then you need a new radiator. It sounds as if your car overheats and shuts off. If the radiator is ok then you'll have to have it checked for a bad sender/head gaskets, etc.
