Hello CarPros, I ran into a problem with my car. I recently bought this car with a faulty crankshaft position sensor. As soon as I bought is car I changed the engine oil (very black) with Mobile 1 5w30 full synthetic oil. I drove the car for less than fifteen miles, parked it at my house and drained the coolant. After being parked for more than a month I was in the process of replacing the crankshaft sensor when I noticed the coffee brown oil. The brown engine oil was not sludge like. I drained the brown oil and noticed the smell of gasoline. I took off the fuel injectors, which were very dirty. My question is can dirty fuel injectors cause the brown engine oil? Is this normal? Is this a blown head gasket symptom? Any recommendations?

If the old oil was very dirty and you changed it and then you had a stuck injector it is possible that it is just crud that was in the engine that is flushing out. It is also possible that it is coolant. To determine which you will want to run a pressure test on the cooling system as well as a combustion gas test. Those would at least show you if it was a head gasket or other cooling system issue. Another test would be to gently heat the oil you drained out and see if it separates into oil/water.
