I recently took my vehicle to a dealership for inspection. They told me three brakes were at 74% wear and one was at 91% wear it would cost me $100.00 to grind the one down. I have never heard of anything like this.
Do you
have the same problem?

Good afternoon.

Grind it down? Did they give you any more information?

The fact that it was not wearing the same tells me you may have a brake hose issue not allowing the brakes to wear the same.

Have you had the fluid changes as per service requirements?

I do not know what fluid changes per service requirements are, but I did have an oil change there.

Brake fluid change is every 50,000 miles. When you do not change it, the fluid breaks down and can cause issues with the ABS and hoses and calipers.

It almost sounds like you were talking to a service writer who is not too knowledgeable about brakes.
