Brake pedal is too high after replacing the brake booster

I replaced the brake booster and brakes are working well. But my pedal is way too high.

Hi,

When you reinstalled the master cylinder on the new brake booster, are you sure the pushrod was properly engaged? Something is likely out of position. If you loosen the master cylinder a bit, does the pedal change?

If you look at the pic below, I highlighted the pushrod I'm referring to. It's possible it didn't properly insert into the master cylinder. That would cause a high pedal.
