Brake pads replace now horrible sounds

My husband had our brake pads replaced and now when you step in the brakes it makes a rubbing sound and when your not driving it makes a squeaking sound it's really weird when my husband's friend was finished with both sides he drop it around the block and slammed on the brakes to try them Out and nothing to days after that we go to start it and the sound is ear perishing I need some really advice thank you

Good morning,

Did he replace the rotors? this is normally done with a brake job on today's cars.

Also, it sounds like the hardware that holds the pads together may not be seated correctly.

I know you were trying to save money, but I would have someone look at the car for you to get a second opinion. Brakes are way too important to have incorrect work performed.
