Brake light switch?

The mechanic removed the switch because the lights would not go off. Switching was good. He reinstalled it but not in the same depth. Pusher button was broken. Replaced button. Lights are now off but all 4 disc brakes drag enough to cause rotors to over heat.

Sounds like the new switch isn't adjusted correctly and it's holding the pedal down enough that fluid cannot return to the master cylinder. Turn the switch counterclockwise and pull it out so it is no longer touching the brake pedal. Now measure the brake pedal distance (155mm at B measure) and adjust as required. Then once that is set, lift the pedal up as far as it will go and then push the switch in until the plunger is pressed in and turn it clockwise to lock it. Check brake light operation.

Can't see switch, location not hand friendly. But your Annalise is spot on. Yep, had mechanic readjust, thanks.
