Brake light stuck on and cyclops light bulb is out

Hello,

I own the car listed above and the brake lights are stuck on regardless of the gear. Also, it looks like a cyclops bulb is out. I’m curious if what are the steps in diagnosing the brake light? I really don’t want to spend money on it if it’s an easy fix, but I don’t want to be watching a lot of videos if it’s actually a short. Start with the brake pedal and cyclops?

Hello,

If the brake lights are on constantly, the first item that needs to be checked is the brake light switch.
The brake light switch is located under the brake pedal. When the brake pedal gets depressed, it pushes against the switch and that triggers the brake lights.
This switch can be stuck on the on position or have an internal short that causes the brake light to stay on constantly.
