Engine Cooling problem
2002 BMW X5 V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

My car has been loosing a small amount of coolant. BMW said they needed to replace a gasket which meant they needed to remove the intake manifold and also the waterpump. They also said I needed CV boots. The car has been maintained by BMW and has 49,000 original miles. They are charging me $3,400.00. Is that reasonable?

Hello -

To better assist you do you have the X5 4.4i with the 4.4L or the 4.6is with the 4.6L?

What gasket are they going to replace that they say is leaking?

The CV boots, there are 4...2 on each shaft...A wheel side and transmission side... Is this for all 4 boots?

Also is your anti freeze Dex-cool
