1995 BMW M3 fan

How come when I get the motor up to 4500 to 5000 rpms my fan breaks off is there a certain length fan or somethin?

Sounds like you might have something else going on there. Check for broken or separated motor mounts or some interference in the ducted shroud area. Fans don't just loose their blades for no reason.
