1998 BMW 750Li Acceleration will not exceed 45 MPH

I have a 750iL BMW and the car cranks and idles fine. While pressing the gas the car will not go past 45 MPH. The OBD II reader is stating there is a communication link error. Tried locating this, could not find it. I need your help.

My recommendation to you is to find a local BMW specialist, the bus faults you speak of are not going to be something most folks are going to be able to repair. It will take special tools and equipment, and training of course.
